Help Us Defend Subcontractor Rights
Each year, courts issue decisions that can reshape how subcontractors do business — from interpreting pay-if-paid clauses to enforcing indemnity and delay provisions. These rulings don’t just affect one job or one company — they set legal precedent that impacts subcontractors across the country.
That’s where ASA’s Subcontractors Legal Defense Fund (SLDF) comes in.
Through SLDF, ASA underwrites the cost of filing amicus curiae (friend-of-the-court) briefs in high-stakes appellate cases. These briefs give subcontractors a voice in the courtroom — helping judges understand how their decisions affect real businesses like yours.
Since 1997, ASA has helped win dozens of legal victories that have protected subcontractor rights and leveled the playing field. But we can’t do it without your support.
Your contribution to the SLDF helps us continue this vital work — defending subcontractors today and shaping a fairer future for our entire industry.
